10 May – Miami Marketta
Miami Marketta is more like a pocket sized festival than a market.  Fashion, accessories, art, homewares, live music, food and bar.  Situated at 23 Hillcrest Parade, Miami in the grounds of Rabbit+Cocoon, a pop up space that is quickly becoming the new arts precinct on the Gold Coast and cultural wave of the area.  Miami Marketta will host 55+ exhibitors in market stall format as well as amazing food and live entertainment from 5pm-10pm Friday 10th May.

11 May – Miami Marketta Street Food

26 May – Monster Machinery Day
Come on down to City of Gold Coast’s annual Monster Machinery Day! This is a free family fun day for children of all ages.  Check out Council’s machinery used to help build and maintain our city, including everything the digs, scoops, cleans and beeps. Dust off your hard hats and explore more than 30 Council vehicles that will be on display inlcuding excavators, graders, loaders, tip trucks, road sweepers, beach tractors, quad bikes and much more.  The massive line up includes stage shows, live machinery demonstrations, boat rides and heaps of prizes and giveaways.  Due to take place in Mitchell Park, Southport from 9am – 3pm Sunday 26 May.

31 May – 10 June – Cooly Rocks On
Welcome to Cooly Rocks on 2013, the biggest 50s and 60s nostalgia festival in Australia! Over 2 kilometres of Rock ‘n roll, Rockabilly, Swing and over 1,000 hot rods, custom cars and classic cars lining the stunning beachfront of Coolangatta and Tweed Heads.  Browse through 100 retro market stalls and 100 craft market stalls, take your taste buds back to the 50s and 60s with vintage styled food and join in the atmosphere that draws over 70,000 people back year after year.  Music fills the venues, more retro cars roll up each day and the festival builds and builds, culminating in a Grand Finale weekend where the streets are closed down, the outdoor stages are moved in and the streets are alive with street parades, shows, displays and over 1,000 cars parading from Kirra to Tweed Heads each evening.  Keep your eye on the program as it builds in the months leading up to June and stay tuned to the Cooly Rocks On Facebook page for regular updates on local, national and international acts plus stacks more.
